It is commonly known Louisiana ranks high in the number of ducks harvested each year and many of those ducks are retrieved by professionally trained retrievers.  Black labradors, yellow labradors, and even chocolate labradors are used to make duck hunter's lives easier.  Not only are labs good for that but they are excellent family members. What would be the best retriever in Louisiana?  Some would argue that a smaller lab would be better for hauling around in a boat and or dragging around the marsh in a perot.
